小クラブの元奨学生が2度目の会長に就任されました！

国際奉仕委員会からのご報告です。かつて小クラブの奨学生だったバービー・リバンデネイラさんが、フィリピンはマカティ・オリンピア・ロータリー・クラブの２度目の会長職に就任されました。会員一同、大きな喜びとともに、バービーさんの投稿をご紹介させていただきます。

私は、1979 年から 1987 年まで大阪心斎橋ロータリークラブのロータリー奨学金補助金の受益者であり、そのことを誇りに思っています。そしてこの度、マカティ・オリンピア・ロータリー・クラブの２度目の会長職に就くことになりました

教育の贈り物をフィリピンに再びもたらすという私の夢を実現するために！

2012年に大阪で心斎橋ロータリークラブの皆様にお会いして以来、私はクラウドナイン（夢心地）にいるようでした。これ以上無い感謝の気持ちと希望、どこかでいつか、そしてすぐにでも、彼らがこの贈り物をフィリピンの学生にあきらめることなく継続されることを願っています。大阪心斎橋ロータリークラブは、2014ロータリー年度以来、この奨学金を提供してくださっています。

まもなく、神さまのご加護の下に、”もう一人のバービー”がクラブの総会で起立し、このチャンスを与えてくれたことに感謝し、教育を全うできたことを報告してくれるでしょう。この機会にとても感謝しています

40年以上前のこのような出来事を思い出しています。

“The Gift of Education”

I am proud beneficiary of Rotary Scholarship Grant from SY 1979-1987 of the Rotary Club of Osaka Shinsaibashi Japan;

I need to accept 2nd Presidency for Rotary Club of Makati Olympia, Inc.

To fulfill my dream of bringing back the gift of education to the Philippines. again,

Since 2012 when I met them in Osaka Japan, it was like I am in Cloud Nine, overwhelming gratitude and Hope that somewhere, sometime, and soon – they will Bring back this Gift to deserving Filipino Students again’ and with persistency and never giving up.

Rotary club of Osaka Shinsaibashi has given this scholarship grant since Rotary Year 2014

soon in God’s perfect time Another Barbie will stand and speak at Club’s General Assembly in Osaka Thanking Them for the chance and completing their education

I am so grateful for this occasion,

reminiscing events like this way back 40 plus years ago….
